W. Patrick Misischia DMD, MS

Dr. Patrick is a third generation dentist hailing originally from Chicago, Illinois.  After receiving his Bachelors degrees in Social Sciences and Biology from Portland State University in 2003 and 2004 he decided to follow in his grandfather’s, father’s and brother’s footsteps into the profession of dentistry.  He attended the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry, where he was awarded his Doctorate in Dental Medicine in 2008.  During his time in Lexington he developed an appreciation and respect for the surgical specialties and decided to further his post doctoral studies in the specialty of periodontics.  This brought him to the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine where he earned both his surgical certificate in Advanced Periodontal Therapies, as well as his Masters of Oral Biology in 2011.  After briefly practicing in south Denver he relocated to Boulder in January of 2013 and started Flatirons Periodontics & Implant Dentistry.  Combining traditional periodontal therapies with modern advances in digital and laser surgical techniques, Dr. Patrick strives to provide the best possible treatment options tailored to each patient’s individual needs.  He is firm believer in preventive care with the goal of helping people achieve optimal periodontal and oral health.  Dr. Patrick is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, Western Society of Periodontology, Academy of Osseointegration, a Fellow of the Institute for Advanced Laser Dentistry and has spent time enjoying his other passion teaching as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine. In his free time Dr. Patrick enjoys swimming, cycling, spending time with and cooking for friends, perfecting his pizza recipes and anything involving Chicago sports or Kentucky Wildcat basketball.  Most importantly, he loves his specialty and truly enjoys getting to know and helping patients everyday.
