W. Patrick Misischia DMD, MS
Dr. Patrick is a third generation dentist hailing originally from Chicago, Illinois. After receiving his bachelor’s degrees in Social Sciences and Biology from Portland State University in 2003 and 2004 he decided to follow in his grandfather’s, father’s and brother’s footsteps into the profession of dentistry. He attended the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry, where he was awarded his Doctorate in Dental Medicine in 2008. During his time in Lexington he developed an appreciation and respect for the surgical specialties and decided to further his post doctoral studies in the specialty of periodontics. This brought him to the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine where he earned both his surgical certificate in Advanced Periodontal Therapies, as well as his Masters of Oral Biology in 2011. After briefly practicing in south Denver he relocated to Boulder in January of 2013 and started Flatirons Periodontics & Implant Dentistry. Combining traditional periodontal therapies with modern advances in digital and laser surgical techniques, Dr. Patrick strives to provide the best possible treatment options tailored to each patient’s individual needs. He is firm believer in preventive care with the goal of helping people achieve optimal periodontal and oral health. Dr. Patrick is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, Western Society of Periodontology, Academy of Osseointegration, a Fellow of the Institute for Advanced Laser Dentistry and has spent time enjoying his other passion teaching as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine. In his free time Dr. Patrick enjoys swimming, cycling, spending time with and cooking for friends, perfecting his pizza recipes and anything involving Chicago sports or Kentucky Wildcat basketball. Most importantly, he loves his specialty and truly enjoys getting to know and helping patients everyday.
Erik C. Rose DDS, MSD
Born and raised in Michigan City, Indiana, Dr. Rose decided to stay near home and attended Valparaiso University. While completing his bachelor’s degree with a double major in chemistry and biology he met his now fiancé, and co-dog parent, Kasia. Together they moved to Indianapolis, where he gained admission to the Indiana University School of Dentistry. At IU Erik was awarded his Doctor of Dental Surgery with distinction, inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society, as well as being named the American Academy of Periodontal Dental student of the year in his class. Always having had an interest in the surgical disciplines he continued his studies at Indiana University within the Graduate Periodontology program where he was awarded his Master of Science in Dentistry, speciality certificate and the Brady E. Hancock award for clinical and didactic excellence. Erik is continuing his educational journey to include training in modern laser-based therapies, allowing him to provide patients with both cutting edge technologies and classical periodontal therapies. He strives to provide personalized care to every patient in hopes of creating the best possible experience throughout their pursuit of oral health. When not caring for patients, Erik enjoys traveling the world with his fiancé Kasia and playing with his two dogs, Winne and Tanner. He also loves hiking, skiing, watching Chicago Bears football and firing up his smoker for back yard barbecues with friends. Above all else Erik looks forward to building meaningful and long-lasting relationships with the wonderful dentists and patients of the Boulder and surrounding communities.
